Kusch Named to 247Sports 2025 Preseason True Freshman All-American Team

PHILADELPHIA – True freshman tight end Ryder Kusch was named Wednesday to the 247Sports preseason true freshman all-American team going into 2025 football season.
Kusch comes to 10th & Diamond from The Hun School in Princeton, N.J. by way of White Rock, British Columbia. Kusch played under head coach Todd Smith while at Hun and last season the team finished with a 9-1 overall record. Kusch pulled in 35 receptions for 692 yards and two touchdowns.
Prior to Kusch's time at The Hun School he attended Seaquam Secondary School in Delta, B.B., where he played for head coach Kevin Phillips. Kusch earned AAA Provincial defensive MVP with 72 tackles and 11.0 sacks, while adding 28 receptions for 485 yards. He also tallied eight touchdowns.
The Owls kick off the 2025 season on Saturday, August 30 at 3:30 p.m. against the Massachusetts Minutemen on the road in Amherst. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
