Owls Fall to Delaware in Sunday Night Matchup

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's soccer team came up short against Delaware, 4-0 in a home contest on Sunday night. With the loss, Temple falls to 0-2-0, while Delaware improves to 2-0-0.
How it Happened
- The Owls played aggressively to start, earning four corner kick opportunities in the first 18 minutes of play.
- Delaware struck first in the 31st minute, taking a 1-0 lead that would remain unchanged at halftime.
- The Blue Hens continued their momentum into the start of the second frame, with two goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half.
- Temple responded with a quick counterattack, as Chase Jackson, Adrian Panaite, and Charlie Votel each fired shots in a three-minute span.
- However, a Delaware goal in the 71st minute would seal the deal, securing the Blue Hens' first road win of the season.

- Votel led the Owls with two shots on goal. The Sophomore from San Leandro, Calif., recorded 8 shots on goal during the 2024 campaign, ranking second on the team.
