A New Season of Temple Talk Begins Wednesday

8.25.25 | Football

PHILADELPHIA — Temple Athletics is excited to announce that the "Temple Talk" radio show is back and ready for a new season. Starting August 27, on Wednesdays from 12 to 1 p.m. at Maxi's Pizza, Subs and Bar on Temple's campus (1926 Liacouras Walk), this series will run for the 2025-26 athletic season. Once again, the "Voice of the Owls," Kevin Copp, will serve as the show's host. For the first 12 episodes this fall, the show will consist of in-depth conversations with first year head coach K.C. Keeler, offering Temple fans a deeper look at the football program.

Keeler joined the Owls this past December and brought in a lot of experience with him. Voted one of the 150 greatest college coaches of all time by Blue Ribbon ESPN panel in 2019, Keeler most recently served as head coach at Sam Houston where he compiled a 97-39 record over his 11 years at the helm. The Bearkats advanced to the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs six times and went a perfect 10-0 during the 2020 season to capture a FCS national title.

Keeler has quickly transformed the Owls bringing in an experienced coaching staff and a dearth of talent to the roster. He is a championship-winning head coach who has successfully built winning programs at multiple levels of college football, brings a track record of effective recruiting in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, and elite-level coaching to the Owls' program.

Each episode of "Temple Talk" will dive into different perspectives of the team's weekly progress, including game recaps, player highlights, and more behind-the-scenes information. The overall ideology of the show is to bring our fans and the community closer to the action while giving more insight into the vision and values that Coach Keeler brings to Temple Football.

In addition to having Coach Keeler, the show will feature guest appearances from players, assistant coaches, and various other members of the Temple Athletics family. Although it will broadcast live and in-person, each episode will be available on demand at www.owlsports.com/listen, so you can stream it whenever, and wherever.

An added component this year is that each episode will be produced and televised on Temple University Television (TUTV) . TUTV is a student-staffed digital cable station that airs in over 400,000 homes in the Philadelphia area on Comcast and Verizon cable and is streamed on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Firestick, and available as an app on mobile phones. Temple Talk will air on Fridays at noon.

Fans are encouraged to come out to Maxi's for the first episode this Wednesday, August 27, at 12 p.m. Joining Keeler and Copp will be defensive coordinator Brian L. Smith and defensive lineman Allan Haye.
