PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's volleyball (7-4) swept Presbyterian College (2-8) in straight sets (25-23, 25-17, 28-26) on the first day of the Cherry & White Invitational. Leading scorer Leia Harper recorded a career-high 21 digs, along with 13 kills, two aces, and two blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 (Temple 25, Presbyterian 23)
Temple went on a 3-0 run to tie the set at 13-13 following an ace from Leia Harper.
Five of Temple's 11 kills in the set came from Harper, helping the Owls edge out a close first set, 25-23.

SET 2 (Temple 25, Presbyterian 17)
The Owls opened the set with a 4-0 run, highlighted by a block from Katie Hickey to take a 6-4 lead.
A momentum shift came after Alyssa Finister's first ace of the match, giving Temple an 11-8 advantage.
Harper and Christiana Greene exchanged kills to stretch the lead to 24-16. Mariyana Cardwell sealed the set with a kill, putting Temple up 2-0 with a 25-17 win.

SET 3 (Temple 28, Presbyterian 26)
Despite trailing by as many as four points, Temple closed the gap to one after a kill from Mickhaila Murray and an ace by Qairo Bentley, making it 17-16.
Greene notched her 10th kill, followed by Olivia Hummel's third block of the match, cutting the Presbyterian lead to 24-21.
After six tie scores, Temple mounted a comeback from down 24-19. Finister secured the sweep with a match-ending kill, giving the Owls a 28-26 victory.

INSIDE THE BOX
The Owls totaled 13 blocks in the match, with four blocks each in the first and second sets.
Harper reached double figures with 10 kills and 13 digs by the end of the second set.
Temple out-killed the Blue Hose 41-30, with 17 kills coming in the third set alone.
