Magro Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Following an impressive collegiate debut weekend, the BIG EAST Conference announced Tuesday that Temple University field hockey freshman Lucia Magro was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Magro led the Owls with five points over the weekend, notching her first collegiate goal and an assist against Delaware on Friday. Her goal proved to be the game-winner in Temple's 5-4 comeback road win over the Blue Hens.
The native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, also scored in the Owls' 4-3 home-opening win against Central Michigan, finishing the weekend with five points.
Through two contests, Magro is tied for third in the conference in both points and goals.
Magro and the Owls return to the road this weekend, visiting Monmouth on Friday at 4 p.m. before closing the trip Sunday at Bucknell at noon.
