IRVING, Texas – The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame announced Wednesday afternoon the list of 177 semifinalists for the 2025 William V. Campbell Trophy. The list of candidates, including Temple's own Allan Haye, boasts a 3.60 average GPA, with more than half of the semifinalists already having earned their bachelor's degrees.

The William V. Campbell Trophy is one of the more prestigious academic awards in college football. The trophy recognizes an individual as the best in the country for his academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.

In addition to the eligibility requirements for players to be nominated for this trophy, the following criteria is required for student-athletes:
  • Have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Have outstanding football ability as a starter/significant contributor.
  • Have exemplary leadership on the field, in the classroom, and within the community.

Haye (#8) comes into 2025 as a newly appointed Temple Tuff single-digit wearer. This tradition began in 2009 under former head coach Al Golden. Single digits are awarded to Temple's toughest players both on and off the field. They embody what it means to be Temple TUFF. These student-athletes are leaders among their peers and show up with a championship-level mindset every day, and Haye does just that.

Haye has participated in all four of Temple's (2-2) games this season. He started in three of those games, and recorded three total tackles in the four games played.
