NEW YORK - After recording four points and helping the Temple University field hockey team earn a Senior Day victory over New Hampshire, senior Mathéa Lassalle was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Tuesday.
Lassalle totaled a goal and two assists against Old Dominion and New Hampshire, factoring into all three of Temple's regulation goals during the weekend. The Rueil Malmaison, France, native also recorded a defensive save against ODU and converted her shootout attempt against the Wildcats.
The selection marks Lassalle's second career BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recognition. She previously earned the honor on Oct. 15, 2024, after scoring the game-winning goal in Temple's 1-0 victory over Providence.
Against Old Dominion on Friday, Lassalle assisted on Rozlyn Maciejewski's second-quarter equalizer and added a defensive save in Temple's narrow 2-1 loss.
She followed with a goal and an assist in Sunday's 3-2 shootout victory over New Hampshire. Lassalle helped set up Lucia Magro's opening goal before scoring off a penalty corner in the second quarter to give the Owls a 2-1 lead.
Lassalle then converted Temple's second shootout attempt. Magro and Mina Uezbe also scored in the shootout, while Alex Lepore made three consecutive stops to secure the Senior Day victory.
Through 15 games, Lassalle has two goals and four assists for eight points, along with one defensive save. She is tied for third on the team in points and ranks second in assists.
Temple (6-9, 1-3 BIG EAST) returns to conference action Friday, traveling to Lynchburg, Va., to face No. 12 Liberty (10-4, 3-1 BIG EAST) at 2 p.m.
