Men's Tennis Set for City Showdown at Drexel

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University men's tennis team is set for an inter-city matchup against the Drexel Dragons in West Philadelphia. The Owls enter the weekend seeking their first win of the season following a 5-2 loss to Lehigh on Wednesday.

Scouting Temple

Against Lehigh, the Owls earned two doubles wins, with Lance Cochran and Aayush Bhat teaming up to win 7-6.
Oliver Aguilar and Alberto Blumenschein were also victorious, with the pair downing their Lehigh opponents, 6-4, clinching the doubles point.
In singles play, Cochran earned a win against Benedict Horn-Bourque of the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, 7-6, 7-5.

Scouting Drexel

The Dragons hold a 3-1 record heading into the weekend, riding a 3-match winning streak with wins against Morgan State, Villanova, and Rider. They also faced St. John's over this span, but the match went incomplete due to court time limitations.
The pair of Will Burridge and Tarek Mo Erlewein were recently named the CAA's Doubles Team of the Week after defeating their opponents from St. John's and Rider 6-2 and 6-3, respectively.
Head Coach Mehdi Rhazali is in his 13th season as the Director of Tennis at Drexel. He enters the season with a 122-99 mark, with the team earning a 10-8 record a season ago.
