Men's Tennis Set for City Showdown at Drexel

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University men's tennis team is set for an inter-city matchup against the Drexel Dragons in West Philadelphia. The Owls enter the weekend seeking their first win of the season following a 5-2 loss to Lehigh on Wednesday.
Scouting Temple
- Against Lehigh, the Owls earned two doubles wins, with Lance Cochran and Aayush Bhat teaming up to win 7-6.
- Oliver Aguilar and Alberto Blumenschein were also victorious, with the pair downing their Lehigh opponents, 6-4, clinching the doubles point.
- In singles play, Cochran earned a win against Benedict Horn-Bourque of the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, 7-6, 7-5.
Scouting Drexel
- The Dragons hold a 3-1 record heading into the weekend, riding a 3-match winning streak with wins against Morgan State, Villanova, and Rider. They also faced St. John's over this span, but the match went incomplete due to court time limitations.
- The pair of Will Burridge and Tarek Mo Erlewein were recently named the CAA's Doubles Team of the Week after defeating their opponents from St. John's and Rider 6-2 and 6-3, respectively.
- Head Coach Mehdi Rhazali is in his 13th season as the Director of Tennis at Drexel. He enters the season with a 122-99 mark, with the team earning a 10-8 record a season ago.
