Men’s Tennis Set for First Home Match vs. Morgan State

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's tennis team is set for its first home match of the year as the Owls prepare to face the Morgan State Bears on Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Legacy Tennis Center.
Scouting Temple
- In their last outing, the Owls fell to the Drexel Dragons 6-1.
- Lance Cochran delivered the lone point for the Owls, winning in three sets.
- In doubles play, Cochran and Maj Najvirt Kolaric teamed up for a 6-3 win.
Scouting Morgan State
- The Bears have put together a 1-2 record so far in 2026, with their lone win coming against the Navy Midshipmen.
- Morgan State was selected fourth in the MEAC Preseason Poll, with Norfolk State, North Carolina Central, and South Carolina State all picked above them.
- In his fifth season leading Morgan State's men's and women's tennis programs, alum Matt Townes previously captured consecutive MEAC Coach of the Year awards (2017, 2018) after directing the women's team to a conference title.
