Men's Golf Concludes First Day of Dorado Beach Collegiate

DORADO, Puerto Rico - Freshman Nicholas Pisarski posted a one-over par 73 to lead the Temple men's golf team on the first day of the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Sunday. The Owls are currently in 12th place as a team, a shot in front of George Washington.

- Pisarski had a bumpy start to his round, bogeying his third and fourth holes (the 16th and 17th), before coming back strong.
- The freshman birdied his fifth hole, the par-4 18th, then shot even par the rest of the way as he carded nine pars, two birdies and two bogeys.
- Pisarski is tied for 17th place individually, one shot in front of sophomore teammate Mason Tomé.
- Tomé stood at one-under par through 16 holes, including a run of 13 straight pars, before closing at two-over par 74.
- Junior Ben Saggers, who is playing as an individual at the tournament, registered a four-over par 76 to finish as the third-best Temple player in the field.
- Elon shot even-par as a team and holds a one-shot lead over UNC Greensboro heading into the second day of action on Monday.
- The second round of the Dorado Beach Collegiate will be held on Monday, Feb. 23, with all teams teeing off at 8:30 a.m.
