DORADO, Puerto Rico - Freshman Nicholas Pisarski posted a one-over par 73 to lead the Temple men's golf team on the first day of the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Sunday. The Owls are currently in 12th place as a team, a shot in front of George Washington.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Pisarski had a bumpy start to his round, bogeying his third and fourth holes (the 16th and 17th), before coming back strong.
The freshman birdied his fifth hole, the par-4 18th, then shot even par the rest of the way as he carded nine pars, two birdies and two bogeys.
Pisarski is tied for 17th place individually, one shot in front of sophomore teammate Mason Tomé.
Tomé stood at one-under par through 16 holes, including a run of 13 straight pars, before closing at two-over par 74.
Junior Ben Saggers, who is playing as an individual at the tournament, registered a four-over par 76 to finish as the third-best Temple player in the field.
Elon shot even-par as a team and holds a one-shot lead over UNC Greensboro heading into the second day of action on Monday.
