Currently enduring a season-long four-game losing streak, the Temple University men's basketball team will look to get back in the win column on Thursday night when Temple travels to face the Florida Atlantic Owls on ESPN2.
Temple fell to Wichita State, 69-57, at Charles Koch Arena, marking its fourth straight loss after trailing 33-27 at halftime. The Shockers shot 50 percent in the second half and converted 21 free throws, stretching the margin to as many as 18 during a decisive run after the break.
Aiden Tobiason (18) and Derrian Ford (15) combined for 33 points in the setback, while Temple committed just seven turnovers despite shooting 36.4 percent from the field.
In the previous meeting with Florida Atlantic, Temple led for 65 percent of the contest but was outscored by 10 in the second half of a 79-73 loss at the Liacouras Center, despite holding a halftime lead.
Tobiason and Ford each topped 20 points in that matchup, as the Owls went 25-of-32 from the free-throw line and held a 41-39 edge on the glass.
The Cherry and White now turn the page to their second matchup with Florida Atlantic this season, looking to snap their skid and even the season series in Boca Raton.
