Thirteen Owls Find the Net in 19–2 Win Over Hornets

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's lacrosse (7–0) earned a dominant 19–2 victory over Delaware State (0–3) Friday afternoon at Howarth Field. Kali Saito led the Owls with her second career hat trick, scoring three goals. Thirteen different Owls found the back of the net as Temple extended its win streak to seven games.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Sabrina Martin opened the scoring with a free-position goal before Lexi Culp and Amelia Wright added tallies to give Temple an early 3–0 lead. Delaware State's Keenan Claek got the Hornets on the board off an assist from Kaylani Parker. Tori Tschida, Culp, and Reese Bigler each netted a goal in the opening quarter to keep the Owls in control.
Emily Liberio opened second-quarter scoring with a goal assisted by Jayne Michaels. Saito pushed the lead to seven before Kathryn Harding and Lily Caravela scored to give Temple a 10–1 advantage. Kehnai Parks found the net with one second remaining in the half as the Hornets trailed 10–2 at the break.
Wright scored her second goal of the game in the third quarter, while Sarah Gowman and Martin each added a goal to extend the lead to 13–2.
Saito completed her hat trick early in the fourth quarter. Freshmen Reese Morgan and Jayne Michaels, along with Brooke Mazzei and Bigler, each added goals as Temple closed out the 19–2 victory.

Temple will travel to Towson University for a matchup on Wednesday. First draw is set for 5 p.m.
