Women's Tennis Travels South Riding Three-Match Win Streak

ORLANDO, Fla. -Â The Temple women's tennis team is set to travel for a four-match trip, facing North Carolina A&T, Sacred Heart and Barry. The Owls enter play riding a three-match winning streak, most recently downing Morgan State, 4-0.
Scouting Temple
• Temple earned a 4-0 sweep over Morgan State to secure its third straight win and fourth victory of the season, clinching the doubles point behind wins from Irmak Ozturk and Tianni Zhou 6-1 and Marianthi Christoforidou and Yasmin Costa 7-6.
• In singles play, Irmak Ozturk, Marianthi Christoforidou, and Thamara Kawaratani Frasser each won in straight sets to seal the team victory.
• Three additional singles matches featuring Yasmin Costa, Tianni Zhou, and Nina Andreoni went unfinished after Temple secured the 4-0 result.
Scouting Opponents
- North Carolina A&T: North Carolina A&T enters play holding a 2-1 record, most recently defeating Western Carolina 6-1.
- Sacred Heart: Sacred Heart holds a 4-4 mark heading to Florida, with the team finishing 2025 5-13.
- Barry: Barry holds a perfect 7-1 record heading into the month of March. Head Coach Avi Kigel is in his 18th season leading the women's tennis program, holding an all-time record of 414-31.
