GREENVILLE, N.C. - Senior Jake Naese moved up six spots individually and is tied for 16th heading into the final round of the ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley. Naese totaled a team-best three birdies on his round of 73 and has collected five overall for the tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Naese has been one of the top players at the tournament in par-4 scoring, ranking in a tie for sixth place at 4.05 stroke average per hole.
  • The Owls also had impressive showings on two par-5 holes on Monday, going three-under par on the par-5 2nd hole and two-under par on the par-5 17th.
  • Sophomores Mason Tomé and Tommy Murdough birdied both holes on Tuesday.
  • UNC Wilmington had another strong day and opened up a 10-shot lead over East Carolina in the team competition.
  • Gray Mitchum led the charge with a second straight three-under par 69, and currently leads the individual battle by three strokes.
