Golf Wraps Up First Day of Palmetto Intercollegiate

AIKEN, S.C. - The Temple golf team completed the first two rounds of the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate on Monday. The Owls will complete the event on Tuesday with an 18-hole round.

- The Owls got off to a solid start and were near the top of the leaderboard as a team through the first half of round one.
- Sophomore William Jun recorded four birdies on the back nine during his first round, while freshman Nicholas Pisarski had three.
- Both of those players registered under-par back nines, while senior Jake Naese carded an even-par 36 on the front nine.
- Individually, Naese leads all Owls through 36 holes at 147 and Pisarski is two shots behind his teammate at 149.
- Campbell holds a one-shot lead over Navy heading into the final round of competition, with Virginia Tech's Ashton Harper leading all individuals at nine-under par.
