Women’s Rowing to Compete at Women’s Sprints in Massachusetts

WORCESTER, Mass. – Temple women's rowing is back on the water this Sunday, May 3 at the Women's Sprints up in Massachusetts.
Temple will be among 20 other programs in Worcester on Sunday. Among those programs there are a few top 25 schools including #9 Brown, #12 Rutgers, and #21 Harvard-Radcliffe. The Owls will also see a familiar school in fellow MAC member UMass. The race is on Lake Quinsigamond and is hosted by the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA).
Last time out
Temple took home the 2026 Kelly Cup the last time on the water. The Owls walked away with three first place finishes by way of the varsity eight, second varsity eight, and second varsity four. The V8 finished 7.5 seconds faster than the second-place boat Saint Joseph's. Eve Keesecker and the 2V8 finished just over one second faster than the second-place Drexel Dragons to take home the trophy. The 2V4 had the most lopsided win of the afternoon for Temple as the Owls pulled away with a 12.2 second win over La Salle.

Temple will next compete at the 2026 Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. The 87th addition of the Dad Vails will be held on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J. Lineups and race times will be available later next week.
