Delaware looks to improve in their second year in the Summit League. After finishing third in their debut season, they have now been picked to finish second according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Blue Hens have won nine consecutive games at home. Returning for Delaware are Rich Monath and Marius Stenner, both have been picked as Players to Watch heading into this season according to the preseason awards. They were top contributors for the Blue Hens last season. Delaware has not lost a regular season match since Oct. 11, 2025, when they fell 2-0 to Denver. In their game against Howard, Delaware recorded 33 shots and 10 corners. The Blue Hens had 11 different players take a shot, Monath led the team with 10, three of which were on goal. Delaware's goalkeeper, Eric Widrick, had zero saves during the contest due to all three of Howard's shots missing the target.
