PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University women's volleyball team will open its 2026 campaign by hosting the Cherry and White Invitational at McGonigle Hall.
The Owls will face Manhattan on Friday, Aug. 28, Fordham on Saturday, Aug. 29, and Rider on Sunday, Aug. 30. All three matches will begin at noon and stream on ESPN+.

Temple returns 14 players from a team that finished the 2025 season with a 16-15 record, including a 5-11 mark in The American Conference. The Owls will look to use their depth to their advantage with 20 players on the roster, including six newcomers.
Junior outside hitter Christiana Greene leads Temple's returning offensive production. Greene earned second-team All-Conference honors from The American Conference after leading the Owls with 404 kills and 457 points while hitting .252 last season. She recorded three double-doubles and three matches with at least 20 kills. Greene was also selected to the 2026 American Conference Preseason All-Conference Team.
Senior outside hitter Olivia Hummel returns after contributing 248 kills, 299 digs and a team-high 30 service aces. Senior setter Lexi Yoza led Temple with 635 assists last season while adding 263 digs and 20 aces. Sophomore setter Daniella Gonzalez Murati recorded 518 assists, giving the Owls two experienced options to direct the offense. Sophomore libero Claudia Rivera also returns after collecting 191 digs across 26 matches during her freshman campaign.
In the middle, Temple welcomes Illinois State transfer Khenedi Guest. The 6-foot-2 junior was named the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year before leading the Redbirds with 301 points, 228 kills and 123 blocks in 2025.
