Owls Fall to Columbia on Late Game-Winner

9.15.26 | Men's Soccer

PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's soccer (0-5-2, 0-1-0 American) fell to Columbia (3-1-1), 1-0, at home Tuesday night, conceding the game-winning goal in the final minutes. The match was the first of three straight home games for the Owls.

How It Happened

Temple moved the ball very well throughout the opening half and tested Columbia goalkeeper, Aris Taki, from various angles. Even with all their pressure they were unable to get a shot past Taki. The Lions had their share of chances to start the game but Dylan Kaye came up big and denied every opportunity they had. Sending both teams into the locker rooms scoreless.

Columbia controlled the ball more throughout the second half and with only two minutes remaining in the game they found the back of the net. The lone goal came off the right foot of Jack McDaid, giving the Lions a 1-0 victory over the Owls.
