Two games from the Week 2 slate featured a combined six Owls facing off against one another.
On Thursday Night Football, left tackle Dion Dawkins (2013–16), safety Sam Franklin (2016–19), and the Buffalo Bills played host to Rock Ya-Sin (2018) and the Detroit Lions. Dawkins helped anchor a Bills offense that totaled 446 yards, including 203 rushing yards, while Franklin recorded one tackle. Ya-Sin recorded six total tackles for the Lions. The Bills improved to 2–0 on the season in their first game at their brand-new stadium.
Three more Owls faced off against one another in the early window on Sunday as linebacker Arnold Ebiketie and the Philadelphia Eagles traveled to Tennessee to take on linebacker Jacob Martin (2017–20), tight end David Martin-Robinson (2018–23), and the Titans. Martin recorded a second-half sack, his first of the season, while Ebiketie totaled one tackle. Martin-Robinson did not record any statistics. The Eagles went on to win 24–20 on a last-second touchdown.
Tight end Chris Myarick (2014–18) was elevated to the Las Vegas Raiders' active roster this week. He did not record any statistics in their 26–14 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Head Coach Todd Bowles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell to the Cleveland Browns, 23–19, on Sunday.
Christian Braswell did not play in the Jacksonville Jaguars' 20–13 loss to the Denver Broncos.
