Things to Look for in Week 5...

1
Run It Back
Temple has rushed for at least 176 yards in each of its first four games this season, totaling 227 against Rhode Island, 176 against #16 Penn State, 261 at Toledo and 217 against Army. With at least 176 rushing yards at South Florida, the Owls would extend the streak to five consecutive games for the first time since 2011.
2
Road Warrior
K.C. Keeler enters the USF game 14-8 all-time in his first road conference game of a season, including an 8-3 mark since taking over at Sam Houston in 2014. Keeler has won seven of his last eight first road conference games dating back to 2019.
3
NFL Stadium Showdown
Temple and South Florida are two of just five FBS teams that play their home games in NFL stadiums. The Owls call Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles, home, while the Bulls play at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
4
Hoots and Horns
Saturday's matchup features several familiar faces. Temple RB Sam Brown V, OL John Stone and OL Zach Aamland previously shared a locker room at Rutgers with USF LB Sam Robinson, while USF tight ends coach Sean Binckes spent the 2022 season at Temple as an offensive graduate assistant.
  • Temple is searching for its first nighttime road win since defeating South Florida, 17-7, in Tampa in 2019.
  • Linebacker Curly Ordonez leads Temple in total tackles (40) and solo tackles (28) through four games. He ranks sixth in the FBS in total tackles and third in solo tackles.
  • Temple leads the all-time series with South Florida, 6-4, but the Bulls have won four of the five meetings played in Tampa.
