Temple Announces 2026-27 American Conference Schedule

IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced Temple's 2026-27 conference schedule Wednesday.
Temple's 18-game conference slate features nine home contests and nine road games.
The Owls will face Rice, Florida Atlantic, North Texas, UAB, South Florida and Wichita State twice during the regular season, with each opponent appearing once at the Liacouras Center and once on the road. Temple will host Tulsa, East Carolina and Charlotte in single-game matchups while traveling to Memphis, Tulane and UTSA.
Temple will open conference play at home on Wednesday, Dec. 30, hosting Charlotte before welcoming in the New Year against Rice on Saturday, Jan. 2. Rice enters the season as the reigning American Conference regular-season champion after posting a 17-1 conference record last season.
The Owls will hit the road for their first conference road trip of the season, traveling to Memphis on Jan. 7 and UAB on Jan. 10. Temple will return home for three consecutive contests, hosting East Carolina (Jan. 13), North Texas (Jan. 16) and UAB (Jan. 27), with road matchups at South Florida (Jan. 20) and Wichita State (Jan. 23).
Temple will close out January on the road at Tulane on Jan. 30 before beginning February with a trip to UTSA on Feb. 6. The Roadrunners captured the 2026 American Conference Tournament championship and represented the conference in the NCAA Tournament.
The Owls return to the Liacouras Center on Feb. 9 to host Tulsa and will remain home for matchups against Wichita State (Feb. 13) and Florida Atlantic (Feb. 17).
Temple will then embark on a two-game road swing through Texas, visiting North Texas (Feb. 21) and Rice (Feb. 24).
The Owls will have one final home game against South Florida on Feb. 27 at the Liacouras Center before closing out the regular season in Boca Raton, facing Florida Atlantic on March 6.
The American Conference Basketball Championship is scheduled for March 10-14 in Tampa, Florida.
