Olympic Sports Varsity Weight Room
Situated on Temple University's Main Campus, The Olympic Sports Varsity Weight Room is located within McGonigle Hall at 1800 N. Broad Street. The home of the Iron Owls went through a full renovation in the summer of 2013 that allows Temple's Student-Athletes to stay on the cutting edge of sports performance. Thor Performance Products outfitted the room with sixteen inlaid platforms that feature the Temple 'T' and 25 yards of multi-purpose turf in the 11,000ft2 space. Hammer Strength furnished the twelve power racks with each station featuring all the tools that the Iron Owls need to perform a variety of body weight and free weight exercises including 18,000 total pounds of barbells, plates, dumbbells and kettlebells by Iron Grip Barbell Company and Werksan Barbells. Medicine balls, foam rollers, battle ropes, sleds, cardio equipment, plyo boxes and numerous other pieces of equipment assist the Owls in all phases of their training.
