When Rod Carey took the reigns as Temple's head coach in January 2019, he announced that Gabe Infante would be one of four coaches retained to his initial Temple coaching staff. He was named running backs coach. It would become Infante’s first season on the Temple staff and 10th season coaching football in the Philadelphia area.
In June 2021, he was also given the title of Recruiting Coordinator, overseeing all the facets of the recruiting process.
In 2019, Infante was credited with the development of true freshman, Re'Mahn Davis, who rushed for 936 yards and eight touchdowns on 193 carries. Davis was the Owls' leading rusher, ranked second in school history among freshmen in every rushing category to Bernard Pierce, and earned Freshman All-American recognition.
Infante left the head coaching position at St. Joseph’s Prep in December, 2018, to become an assistant coach for the Owls. While at St. Joseph’s, Infante compiled a 91-23 record and won four PIAA state championships in nine seasons with the Hawks. Over the last three seasons, the Hawks were an impressive 40-1 with two state championships under Infante. In 2017, he was named U.S. Army Bowl National Coach of the Year and served as head coach of the U-17 National team. He won the 2018 Don Shula High School Coach of the Year Award after being nominated by the Philadelphia Eagles.  Â
A two-time Don Shula High School Coach of the Year nominee, Infante is a member of USA Football's Advisory Committee and is a Master Trainer in USA Football’s Heads Up program. Infante traveled around the country conducting player safety clinics and helped promote the program’s techniques and benefits to youth and high school coaches. He worked national clinics for Nike, Glazier, and Hammer Strength and has been published by American Football Monthly.
Before coaching at St. Joseph’s Prep, Infante served as head coach at Paramus Catholic High for two seasons after two years as defensive coordinator at Bergen Catholic High.
He was a three-sport athlete at Memorial High in West New York, N.J. playing football, basketball, and baseball. Infante continued his sports career in college, playing football at Holy Cross.
Infante is a graduate of New York Law School and is a licensed attorney in the state of New Jersey.
