Leigh Ann Mills, a professional golfer for 14 years, including 11 on the LPGA Tour, is in her first season as an assistant coach at Temple. She competed in 11 major championships on the LPGA Tour from 1993-2002 and finished 18th at the 2000 du Maurier Classic. Mills was ranked as high as 75th in the world in 1995. After a college career at Florida State that included 15 top-10 finishes in intercollegiate competition and a fourth place finish at the 1987 Doral Invitational, Mills competed on the Futures, European and Asian Tours. She won the 1990 Indonesian Open, 1990 Angso Open, 1991 International Women's Open and 1991 Windsor Park Futures Classic. She earned exempt status in 1994. That season, she carded a career-low 66 during the first round of the du Maurier Classic and finished 22nd. The next season, Mills posted a career-best second place showing at the Edina Realty LPGA Classic and had her first LPGA hole-in-one in 1997 during the second round of the Welch's Championship. For her career, Mills appeared in over 200 LPGA events and had a career-best scoring average of 73.33 in 2000. She graduated from FSU with a bachelor's in risk management in 1988.
