Dr. Ryan Schreiter is an Osteopathic Physician, board certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine.  He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Temple Health and a team physician caring for Temple Athletics.
 
Dr. Schreiter was formerly a student-athlete at Towson University, where he was a baseball player. He earned his degree in osteopathic medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed a residency in Family Medicine at St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading, PA. Following residency, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he helped care for the Pitt football team.
 
In his sports medicine practice with Temple Health, Dr. Schreiter treats athletes of all ages and specializes in throwing injuries, overuse injuries, sports-related concussion management and treatment, and musculoskeletal injuries. His research interests include prevention medicine and acute non-operative treatment of sports injuries using the newest technologies. Dr. Schreiter is also trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound.  He uses this for diagnostic evaluations as well as therapeutic interventions such as platelet-rich-plasma injections for chronic tendon injuries.
 
Dr. Schreiter is an active member of several national and regional societies and organizations, including the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Family Practice and the Delaware Valley Society for Sports Medicine. He is also actively involved within the Temple University School of Medicine, teaching residents and medical students.
