Lisa Boyer begins her sixth season as an assistant coach of the Temple University women's basketball team. During her tenure on North Broad Street, Boyer has helped the Owls to four Atlantic 10 Championships and five NCAA Tournament bids.

Before coming to Temple, Boyer, was an assistant coach with the WNBA's Cleveland Rockers where her duties also included working as an assistant with the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers. Boyer has had additional professional coaching experience as head coach of the ABL's Richmond/Philadelphia Rage where she coached among others, Dawn Staley.

Prior to working in the professional ranks, Boyer was the head coach at Bradley University from 1986-1996. Bradley boasted a 100% graduation rate during her 10-year career. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Boyer was also Bradley's senior women's administrator and compliance coordinator from 1991-1996.

Boyer had assistant coaching stints at Virginia Tech (1985-86), University of Miami (1984-85), East Carolina University (1983-84) and Davidson College (1981-82). During the 1982-83 basketball season she was the head coach at Converse College, a NAIA school, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

A member of the WBCA, Boyer has been a member of the Kodak All-American selection committee and the NACWA (National Association of Collegiate Women Administrators).

A native of Ogdensburg, New York, Boyer received her bachelor's degree in science from Ithaca College where she was a standout forward on the women's basketball team. She also has a master's degree from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
