Mayo joins the women's basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant for the 2021-22 season. A four-year member of the women's basketball team herself, Mayo saw action in 28 games with the Owls. Mayo was an excellent leader and was named a captain alongside Mia Davis for the 2019-20 season. Her twin sister, #12 Emani Mayo, is a current player for the Cherry and White.
A native of Hephzibah, Ga., Mayo is pursuing her masters degree in Entrepreneurship at TU.
