Joey Raniero enters his fifth season as the Owls’ video coordinator in 2021-22.
With the Owls, Raniero oversees all game and practice film for the coaching staff and handles the scout film exchange for the program. He also recruits and manages the team’s male practice players.
A 2018 Temple graduate with a degree in sport and recreation management, Raniero served as a practice player for the Owls for four years. As a senior, Raniero interned for the Owls, assisting with office administration and with on-court workouts.
Raniero has worked at a variety of different basketball camps, including the Kyrie Irving and Michael Carter-Williams ProCamps, Delaware Valley High School Basketball Camp, and Sixers Camps. He also volunteers and help work the Danny Rumph Classic, a premier basketball tournament in Philadelphia and the signature event for the Daniel E. Rumph II Foundation.
A Milford, Pa. native, Raniero played high school basketball for coach Kris Holtzer at Delaware Valley and was a member of the Lackawanna League Division II Coaches All Star First-Team as a senior. He also started the Lackawanna League Senior All-Star Game.
