Ksenia Berestetska is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Temple women's tennis. Prior to Temple, she was volunteer coach and a player for three years at the University of Akron.

At University of Akron*

Senior (2013-14):
Berestetska led the Zips with a 27-8 singles record as a senior. Playing primarily at the No. 4 spot in the lineup, she won 13 of her last 15 singles matches of the year, including a streak of six consecutive victories, and was 6-2 against MAC opponents. She finished her three-year career at Akron with a combined singles record of 82-27, ranking 14th all-time in the program for career wins.

Berestetska earned MAC Singles Player of the Week honors on Feb. 26, 2014, after picking up two victories at the No. 5 spot against Portland State and Oregon. She was also named the team's Most Valuable Player at the conclusion of the season.

Junior  (2012-13): Berestetska posted a 30-10 singles record. In 2013, she was a Flight C champion at Michigan State University. Berestetska had two streaks of six consecutive victories in singles.

Sophomore (2011-12): A transfer from Stephen F. Austin State University, Berestetska joined the Zips in the fall of 2011. In 2012, Ksenia and her teammates won the Mid-American Conference tournament and participated in the NCAA Championship. In singles, Ksenia was a Flight C champion at Michigan State University.

Freshman (2010-11):
 Berestetska posted a 29-7 singles record and an 18-12 doubles mark. She was the SFA Fall Invitational champion and a Gold Draw finalist at the TJC Apache Invitational.

Prior to collegiate tennis: Ksenia Berestetska was ranked as high as #15 in Ukraine under 14 years old and competed in International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior tournaments throughout Europe. She notched a quarterfinal round finish in the 2008 Donetsk Cup. Berestetska was also a competitive junior swimmer and posted the fifth-best 200-meter breaststroke time among Ukrainian junior swimmers in 2007.

Personal: Berestetska was born in May 26, 1993. She is a daughter of Alex and Halyna Berestetskyy. Originally from Kiev, Ukraine, Berestetska graduated from UA in May 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Mass Media - Radio/Television, carrying a 3.96 GPA. In 2016, Berestetska received her master’s degree in Physical Education and Coaching. A Dean's List honoree, she also earned the 2014 MAC Presidential Award and was named to the MAC Honor Roll. Berestetska was also a two-time Academic All-MAC Team member (2013, 2014). A two-time team captain, she was named the team’s Most Improved Player in 2013 and Most Valuable Player in 2014.

As an undergraduate, Berestetska volunteered as a peer-mentor to freshman student-athletes during the 2012-13 academic year.  She was a member of the women’s tennis team that won $1,000 for Safe Landing Youth Shelter in Akron. Berestetska was also a member of Student Athlete Advising Committee (SAAC). As a graduate student (2014–16), Berestetska was a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Sport Science and Wellness Education. In 2016, Berestetska became a USPTA certified tennis coach.

Currently, Berestetska is pursuing a PhD in Psychology of Human Movement at Temple University. She is also a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Kinesiology. Berestetska would like to pursue a career in academia.
