Coach of the Temple track team for 30 years. Produced some of the University's finest athletes and teams. Said biggest thrill came in 1935 when Eulace Peacock and Al Threadgill, previous inductees in Temple Hall of Fame, won major events at National AAU Meet with Peacock beating legendary Jesse Owens. Nationally-known track figure. Invented and patented three track and field devices-starting gate for sprinters, automatic foul indicator for jumpers and pole vault net. Outstanding coach in high school ranks where he won five Public League Championships and eight Penn Relays titles. Competed in track and gymnastics as an undergraduate at Penn, earned Master's Degree from Temple. Teacher for 38 years. Deceased 1958.
