Jamie Hiegel

Jamie Hiegel, a former Division I baseball player at San Jose State, is in his fourth season as the strength and conditioning coach at Temple. Hiegel oversees the design and implementation of strength and conditioning for 22 men's and women's olympic sport teams, including baseball.
Hiegel was a two-year baseball letterwinner at San Jose State, helping the Spartans to the 2000 College World Series and a 41-24 overall record. Hiegel also played baseball at Yuba College from 1998-99.
Prior to arriving at Temple, Hiegel was the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Wichita Wranglers, the double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. He also assisted major and minor league coordinators in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs during spring training.
Hiegel was the assistant strength and conditioning coach for two years at San Jose State, from his graduation in 2003 until 2005. He also served internships with the NHL's San Jose Sharks and the NFL's Oakland Raiders.
He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and has certification from the USAW Olympic Weightlifting and USA Track and Field.
