Maddie Edwards joined Temple Athletics staff as an assistant athletic trainer in May 2024. She works primarily with football and has previously assisted with our spirit programs.
Edwards came to Temple from the Cincinnati Bengals, where she spent the year as a seasonal intern for their 2023 training camp and season. She completed a previous seasonal internship with the University of Michigan football team and Southern Methodist University's Football and equestrian teams. She earned her Master's degree in athletic training from A.T. Still University in 2022 and earned her Bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of Alabama in 2021. While completing her Bachelor's degree, she also completed summer internships with Stanford University Football, the University of Mississipi Football, Elite 11, and the San Francisco 49ers.
Edwards has been a board-certified athletic trainer since 2021 and has held a Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine license since 2024. She became a certified Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician in 2025 and has maintained a dry needling certification since 2022. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Association.
