Marshall, an avid recruiting coordinator for JU, came to Temple with seven years of Division I coaching experience. Marshall began coaching at Jacksonville in 2014, playing a key role in the resurgence of the men's soccer program. In his time there, he helped guide the Dolphins to their first postseason ASUN Conference Championship appearance in eight years during the 2016 season, followed by a second consecutive appearance in the 2017 postseason ASUN Championship match. During his time as recruiting coordinator at Jacksonville University, the Dolphins had ten players receive ASUN All-Conference honors, with five players being named to the ASUN All-Freshman team.
Marshall joined Jacksonville after serving on staff for his alma mater, the University of South Florida. In a four-year stint with the Bulls, he helped guide the men's soccer team to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances, as well as two conference titles in 2011 and 2013.
Marshall played a key role in helping many of his players move on to the professional ranks in both of his previous coaching positions. Rijad Kobiljar (FC Sarajevo) & Joe Amico (Swope Park Rangers- USL) signed professional contracts following their playing careers at Jacksonville. At USF, Marshall played a role in the development of over 20 players who moved onto the professional ranks from 2011-2014, with nine players selected in the MLS Super Draft, two of which were first-round selections (Dom Dwyer- Sporting KC- 2011 and Ben Sweat- Columbus Crew- 2014).

Marshall helped lead the 2007 USF team that advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 and played a pivotal role in the 2008 Big East Championship team that advanced to the Elite Eight for the 2nd time in school history. During his time at USF, the Bulls held the third longest home winning streak in NCAA history, going 32 games unbeaten from 2007-2009. He was also a member of the USF track and field team, where he was an All-Big East Team selection (2008-2010) and a part of USF's record-breaking 4x100 meter relay in 2010.
During his Freshman Year, Marshall attended Stetson University, where he started 21 out of 21 games as a true freshman. Marshall received ASUN All-Conference honors after amassing 6 goals & 4 assist, where he was a unanimous selection to the ASUN All Freshman team. Marshall earned ASUN postseason tournament honors after scoring the game winning goal in the 2005 ASUN Conference Championship game, defeating Campbell 2-1, & sending Stetson to it’s first NCAA Tournament berth in school History. Marshall was selected to the ASUN All-Tournament team, while also being named the Offensive MVP of the ASUN postseason tournament.
