Temple Men's Soccer Blanks GW 1-0

The Temple men's soccer team ended the 1999 campaign on a high note, blanking George Washington, 1-0, today at Temple Stadium.

The lone Temple goal was scored in the first period by sophomore Matt Kaufman. Senior Kevin Kelly recorded the assist on the play giving him a team-high 29 points for the season.

Sophomore goalkeeper Drew Moser made eight saves to earn his third career shutout.

With the win, the Owls finish the 1999 season 7-10-1 overall and 5-6 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. George Washington dropped to 9-10 overall and 5-6 in the A-10.
