Owls Close Out Fall Golf Season with Win, Bartolacci Wins

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple Owls golf team completed its fall season with a win at the Caves Valley Invitational.
The event was held at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md. November 7th and 8th. The win marks the third
time this Fall that the Owls finished in the top five. The other two tournaments were the Navy Fall Invitational (2nd)
and the Georgetown Invitational (3rd). At Caves Valley two Owls finished in the top five. Junior Christian Bartolacci
finished in first placewith a two-round total of 143 at the par-72 track. His first round 71 was the lowest round
recorded at the tournament. Earlier this season Bartolacci finished in second place at the Navy Fall Invitational. Not
far off his pace was senior Steve Probst who finished tied for third with a two-round total of 153. Sophomore Garren
Poirier finished in 12th while Mark Watt (T23rd) and Lee Snelgrove (38th) rounded out the squad.
