Temple's Kevin Kelly Named Philadelphia Soccer Sever Player Year

Temple men's soccer player Kevin Kelly (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan) was named the Philadelphia Soccer Seven Player of the Year. Kelly is the first Owl ever to earn the honor in the league's 21-year history.
The Owls' senior forward led the league in goals (12), points (29) and points per game (1.61).
Also named to the PSS All-Star team was senior defender Michael Skahan (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan). This marks the third straight season that Skahan has earned the honor. The Owls' captain finished the 1999 season with one goal and one assist.
Freshman John Burns (Philadelphia/North Catholic) was named the PSS Freshman of the Year. The Philadelphia native anchored the midfield for the Owls with his aggressive, physical play.
The Philadelphia Soccer Seven is made up of Drexel, Philadelphia, La Salle, Pennsylvania, Villanova, St. Joseph's and Temple.
