Women's Basketball Team Tops Rhode Island To Complete Season Sweep

Temple Sports InformationPHILADELPHIA (Feb. 7, 1999) -- Temple women's basketball defeated Rhode Island, 62-57, Saturday at The Forum at the Apollo of Temple.
With the win the Owls swept the season series, 2-0. They defeated the Rams, 51-46, on Jan. 14.
The Owls had three players finish in double figures led by Dawn Ingram who scored a team-high 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to complete the double-double. Kim Martin and Natalia Isaac scored 12 points and 11 points, respectively.
Temple won the battle of the boards as they outrebounded the Rams, 49-34.
Temple also forced 21 Rhode Island turnovers.
With the win, the Owls improved to 8-14 overall and 4-8 in the Atlantic 10. Temple will next play at Fordham on Feb. 12.
