Pennsylvania Defeats Men's Soccer, 2-1

The Temple men's soccer team lost to Pennsylvania, 2-1, today at Temple Stadium. The loss drops the Owls to 3-4-1 on the season.

The Owls fell behind, 1-0, in the first half. Temple answered 15 minutes into the second half when senior Patrick Murphy took a pass from fellow senior Kevin Kelly and headed it into the back of the net to even the game, 1-1. However, with 8:24 remaining in the second half, Penn midfielder David Bonder scored to put the Quakers ahead to stay, 2-1.

Next up for the Owls is a road trip to New England. Temple will face Massachusetts on Oct. 1 and Rhode Island on Oct. 3.
