Women's Gymnastics Finish First In Season Opener

Philadelphia, Pa. (January 18) -- Temple Women's Gymnastics (1-0) clinched its first
victory over Ursinus on Friday in McGonigle Hall. The Owls easily outscored
the Bears 180.875-174.500 while sophomore Maggie Tolerico (36.775) landed
first place in the all-around. Freshman Brynne Hillman also contributed with
a second place all-around finish with 36.500.
As a team, the Owls scored a 45.45 on the vault, 43.90 on bars, 44.875 on
the beam and 46.65 in floor exercise. The Owls captured first place finishes
in each event with freshman Andrea McGary finishing first on beam (9.45),
Hillman first place on bars (9.40), Tolerico first place on floor exercise
(9.55) and senior Anne Koerner first on the beam (9.30)
