CINCINNATI - The Xavier men's soccer team (3-10, 3-2) got two goals tonight from junior Rob Bakker (The Netherlands) on its way to a 3-0 win over Temple (1-10, 0-5). The Musketeers have now won three of their last five games after starting the season a dismal 0-8.

The first goal came at the 17:33 mark when Logan Wallace (Loveland, OH/Milford) passed it over to Bakker, who placed it cleanly in the upper right corner of the goal. Bakker also scored the second goal, a penalty kick that came at the 43:12 mark. The third and final goal came at the 86:57 mark when junior forward Mike Kelley Cincinnati, OH/Glen Este) put a Charles Morgan (Edmond, OK/Edmond Memorial) pass into the net. The Musketeers were in control the entire game, as Temple had just three shots on goal all night. Senior Goalkeeper Paul Wesseling (The Netherlands) registered his second shutout of the season, needing only one save to do it.

The Musketeers will play again on Sunday, October 15 at home versus St. Joseph's.
