Men's Soccer Shuts Down Rams 2-0

PHILADELPHIA - The Owls won their second Atlantic 10 game in a row and goalkeeper Cornelius Murphy recorded a shutout to lift the Owls' record to 3-11, 2-6 in Atlantic 10 Conference play.
The Owls took the lead in the 26th minute when Wendell Beres scored from 20 yards out over the goalkeeper's head with an assist from Jeff Fisher and they never looked back. The Owls' next goal came at the 40:09 mark when Jeff Fisher scored off an early assist by Matt Moran into an open net a breakaway. The Rams were never able to recover from the Owls' 2-0 lead. The Owls outshot the Rams 9 to 5 allowing only three shot on goal in 90 minutes of action.
The Owls' will next host Duquense on Friday at 3pm.
