Jakubowicz Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for Women's Basketball

Temple center Lisa Jakubowicz was named Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week on Feb. 13.

Jakubowicz, a 6-1 sophomore, posted two double-doubles in Temple's three games this past week. She chipped in 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in Sunday's 42-40 victory over Massachusetts. She finished Wednesday's 85-71 win over St. Bonaventure with seven points and nine rebounds. She scored a career-high 26 points and added 17 rebounds in Saturday's 72-63 loss to La Salle. Jakubowicz set an Apollo record for most points and rebounds in a women's game against the Explorers. The Levittown, Pa. native finished the week averaging 16.7 ppg., 12.3 rpg. and 2.7 bpg. This is her first Player of the Week award.
