Women's Track Team Recorded Six First Place Finishes at the Villanova Invitational

Villanova, Pa. -- Temple women's track team recorded six first place

finishes at the Villanova Invitational April 15-16 at Villanova Stadium.

The 4*100 relay team finished first with a time of 48.32. The 4*400 meter

relay team placed second with a time of 4:00.84.

Chanel Dale finished first in the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 1:09.70. In

the 200 Meter Run (Heat 1), Naomi Beverly placed first with a time of 26.20.

Carla Miles finished first in the 200 Meter Run (Heat 2) with a time of 26.56.

Teresa Covert placed first in the long jump with a distance of 5.65. Catherine

Gormley finished first in the pole vault with a height of 2.79.

In the 1,500 Meter Relay (Heat 2), Christine Leahy finished fifth with a time

of 5:47.56. Covert and Raina Marshall placed in the 100 Meter Hurdles (Heat

1). Covert finished third with a time of 14.66 and Marshall fourth with a time

of 16.36. Kasha Craig and Patricia Swiggett placed in the 400 Meter Run. Craig

finished fourth with a time of 1:00.84 and Swiggett sixth with a time of

1:01.67.

Miles finished third in the 100 Meter Run (Heat 1) with a time of 13.02. In

the 800 Meter Run (Heat 2), Kimberly LeBlanc finished seventh with a time of

2:34.73. Marirose Roach ran to a third place finish in the 200 Meter Run (Heat

1) with a time of 26.67.

Marshall and Roach also placed in the long jump. Marshall finished sixth with

a distance of 4.51 and Roach eighth with a distance of 4.31. Joi Brown and

Ursula Moorer recorded finishes in the shot put. Brown finished sixth with a

distance of 9.96 and Moorer tenth with a distance of 8.96.

In the triple jump, Beverly placed third with a distance of 10.80. Both

Crumbia and Brown had respectable finishes in the hammer throw. Crumbia

finished second (47.62) and Brown fifth (37.36). Roach finished fifth in the

javelin with a distance of 33.00. Moorer finished second in the high jump with

a distance of 4'10" and Marshall third with a distance of 4'6". Crumbia and

Danielle Medina finished in the discus. Crumbia placed eighth with a distance

of 29.66 and Medina ninth with a distance of 28.36.
