Women's Varsity Four Wins in Atlantic 10 Rowing Championship

Collingswood, N.J. (April 22, 2000) - Temple women's varsity four rowed to a
first place finish at the Bell Atlantic Atlantic 10 Rowing Championship this
past weekend on the Cooper River in Collingswood, N.J.
The Owls' finish with a time of 8:05.7 marked the first time a crew from
Temple has ever won a final at the Bell Atlantic Atlantic 10 Championship.
Temple women's varsity eight finished in fourth place with a time of 7:13.7.
In overall team standings, the Owls tied for fifth place with Rhode Island.
The University of Massachusetts won its fifth straight Atlantic 10 title in as
many years.
