Temple Womens Soccer loses to George Washington, 3-2

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Temple Women's Soccer team lost a hard fought game as they fell to George Washington University
3-2 on Friday afternoon (9/29/00).
GW midfielder Erin Coppedge (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) scored the first two goals early in the first half giving the Colonials a 2-0
lead over the Owls. The Owls answered back with a penalty kick goal by senior forward Julie Marx (Newark, Del./Newark) at
37:30 of the first half.
George Washington scored again just two minutes into the second half with another Coppedge goal. The Owls had only seven shots
on goal in the second half but managed to score once more on a second goal by Marx. Temple was unable to catch GW and their
record fell to 8-3.
The Owls next game will be Sunday, October 1, against Virginia Tech at 1:00 p.m.
