McMenamin Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week and Philadelphia Soccer 7 Co-Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University midfielder Andrew McMenamin (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) has been named the Atlantic 10 rookie of the week for the week ending Sunday, September 3, 2000.
McMenamin, a freshman, made his college soccer debut by scoring all three goals in the Owls' 3-2 overtime victory over Drexel on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000. After giving Temple an early 1-0 lead, McMenamin scored the tying goal to knot the score at 2-2 at the end of regulation. Just five minutes into overtime, McMenamin found the back of the net again, giving the Owls the victory over the Dragons. This game marked the opening of the Temple Owls' 2000 campaign.
McMenamin leads the team in scoring with six points. He was also named Philadelphia Soccer Seven co-player of the week.
The Owls travel next to Rider University to face the Broncs on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 4:00 p.m.
