Rutgers Downs Temple Women's Gymnastics in Home Opener

PHILADELPHIA - Rutgers women's gymnastics team defeated Temple 187.675 to 179.400.

The meet was the Owls' home opener and drops Temple's record to (1-1) overall.

Senior co-captain Danielle Corbin led the Owls with a first place performance on the balance beam with an average score of (9.525). Also junior Andrea McGary grabbed third place on the floor exercise with an average score of (9.425).

The Owls will next visit George Washington to participate in the George Washington Invitational on Sunday January 21 at 1:00 p.m.
