OWLS SHUTOUT BY GEORGE WASHINGTON 1-0

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University men's soccer team (2-8-1, 1-2) was shut out by the George Washington Colonials, 1-0 on Friday afternoon, October 12 at Temple Stadium.

The first half of the game was low-key with the Owls having four shots on goal and the Colonials with just two. It was not until the second half when the first and only goal was scored by G.W.'s Matt Pilkington.

The Owls were led by seniors Matt Kaufman and Jim Raisch who both had two shots on goal while goalie Patrick Hannigan had six saves.

Temple faces Richmond University at home on Sunday, October 14, 2001 at Temple Stadium. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
