OWLS FALL SHORT IN LOSS TO XAVIER 2-1

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's soccer team (2-12-1, 1-7) fell one goal short in a hard fought 2-1 loss against the Xavier Musketeers on Friday afternoon October 26, 2001.
Freshman defender John Tupy scored the lone goal for the Owls in the last thirty seconds of the game but it was not enough to notch the win. Freshman goalie Patrick Hannigan had seven saves on the day and freshman forward Steven Wacker added two shots.
Freshman Tiest Sondall and sophomore Charles Morgan scored the two goals for the Musketeers at the 30:00 and 7:00 marks respectively while goalie Brian Schaeper added three saves in the win.
The Owls play at home on Sunday, October 28, 2001 at Temple Stadium. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
